It’s May already, and the weather is just gorgeous here in Daytona Beach, Florida. Here are some outdoor events going on this month to put on your calendar.
Fiesta de Mayo, May 4th, 4- 7 pm
Fiesta de Mayo is not right outside our doors, but there are lots to do at this new location. This weekend there is a car show, food specials, and a Margarita Challenge happening at One Daytona. If you have not visited this location, you are in for a surprise. There are lots of new restaurants and shops at this venue located right across from the Speedway. Kaleb Lee Concert May 25, 6-8 pm
Attention Kaleb Lee Fans! He has a show this month in Victory Circle at the One Daytona venue. If you do not know Kaleb, he is a resident of Ormond Beach and was a contestant on The Voice in season 14. He may not have won that contest, but he won the hearts of his loyal fans with his sixth-place finish in the competition. Click here for more information about the concert.
Time for Spring Cleaning (Your Office)
Isn’t there something about Spring that makes us want to beat the chaos and start anew? And that doesn’t just mean our homes and outdoor space — it means our businesses too! We have made it through the time change, and now Spring, followed by a nice hot Florida summer is just around the corner. It’s time to Spring Forward and do a little Spring cleaning in your professional life.
Now we don’t mean cleaning literally…actually, we take that back. Take a second to disinfect your workspace. Clean your laptop screen and the keyboard. And your cell phone. Germs are everywhere. We suggest wiping these items down once a week.
An easy way to keep your actual workspace clear? The things you use consistently should be within the radius of your arms. No matter, if you are at our shared workspace, or at home-this, can include your monitor and keyboard, telephone, two pens, one notebook, etc. Supplies and paperwork should be kept in the zones you’ve established for them.
Some experts say most of us treat our email inbox like a to-do list, which adds to the stress of any profession and any successful workflow. Attempt a namaste spring clean by organizing your inbox with folders or task functions that will increase your work productivity.
With a freshly organized inbox, make appointments with yourself at least once a quarter to clean out those folders. And now that your inbox is sparkling how about digging into your other folders – especially those on shared drives like Dropbox or Google Drive?
In your professional life, sometimes a spring clean doesn’t mean breaking out the vacuum or Windex, it means taking stock of what’s working well and what’s not, and getting yourself mentally revived after a long winter.

Dream Car Show – What’s Happening this Weekend
The 10th Annual Daytona Beach Dream Cruise Car Show is what’s happening this weekend at Riverfront Park. It’s Big. It’s Fun. It’s Free. Come to downtown Daytona Beach to see the cars on display. Support the local business bounce back from Hurricane Irma by having lunch and starting your holiday shopping early. As it did last year, the weather is even cooperating because the first cold front is due to come in by Saturday.
The Daytona Beach Dream Cruise Car Show will give attendees the opportunity to enjoy a classic celebration of collector automobiles and trucks of all years, makes and models, modified and stock, decorating Riverfront Park along historic Beach Street. The Daytona Beach Dream Cruise will run from 9 am to 5 pm both Friday and Saturday and will be open and free to the public and Dream Cruise Car Show participants.
